Employees of Rijk Zwaan in the Netherlands give their employment an average score of 8.5. This earned the vegetable-breeding company in De Lier first place in the largest employee-satisfaction survey in the Netherlands, organised by Effectory.
Effectory is a leading player in the Netherlands in the area of research into employee satisfaction and annually draws up a list of the participating companies in order to give an objective verdict on good ‘employership’ in the Netherlands. The survey compared 369 organisations by letting employees give their verdict on, among other things, company culture, development possibilities and opportunities, colleagues and remuneration. This year, Rijk Zwaan attained the highest score in the area of overall satisfaction.
This first place applies to the category of companies with fewer than 1,000 employees, as only the number of employees in the Netherlands is taken into account. However, the award is regarded by Rijk Zwaan as a compliment paid to the worldwide organisation, in view of the fact that all subsidiaries have the same starting points. Rijk Zwaan distinguishes itself as employer with its people-orientated approach which is expressed in high levels of freedom, responsibility and openness, and a good working atmosphere. The company is convinced that it is exactly these values that lead to the high satisfaction among its employees.
