After two years of ending in first place, this year Rijk Zwaan has finished second in the Hillenraad100, the overview of 100 most leading companies in Dutch horticulture. This was announced on Friday 28th October during the Hortigala of the Year.

The Dutch Flower Group, the world's largest flowers and plants supplier to hypermarkets, has taken over the first position from Rijk Zwaan. Although one position lower, Marco van Leeuwen is very satisfied with this result: "According to the report of the jury we score very high on all company components. We have accomplished this together with all Rijk Zwaan colleagues and we can be proud of this."

In the top 10 of companies with the best reputation however, Rijk Zwaan has taken the top position.
